Orangeforce One - The Ultimate Tailgating Vehicle |
| Steve Fesch, a crazy Denver Broncos fan, had dreamed of the ultimate tailgating vehicle after many years of partying in the various parking lots of stadiums throughout the U.S. He wanted something big, capable of taking a group on cross-country trips to Bronco away games with custom features for the serous sports fan. After considering RVs, old school busses and motor homes, the decision was made to go with a diesel “pusher”- a 1987 MCI 9 ex NJ transit bus. This is a classic motor coach popular for bus conversions powered by a Detroit diesel with an Allison transmission. |

| Westwerkes helped Steve find the bus in Commerce City, Colorado. Here is the bus when it arrived at Steve’s house in Denver. The bus was later driven to Tucson, AZ where Westwerkes handled the complete renovation into a Bronco’s themed sports bar bus with all the necessities for the professional tailgater. |
The bus started life as “Project Orange” with hardcore Bronco fans following the progress via www.orangemane.com, a community-based website for Bronco fans all over the world. One Orange Mane member dubbed the bus “ OrangeForce One” and the name stuck. The bus is in its second football season and attends all Bronco home games and many away games. |
Last season the bus logged more than 8 thousand miles attending Bronco games and fan events throughout the nation. In addition to football events the bus attends many charity events in the Denver area. The bus has been featured on local and national news, won the “Most Valuable Tailgater” award from the Denver Broncos and was recently highlighted in Hooters magazine. |
